In recent years, with the support of the national key R & D plan (transformative technology) project, the national science and technology major project (nuclear power), the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the key deployment project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, researcher Sun Mingyue and his team, under the guidance and leadership of the head of the research department, broke through the limitation of "big forgings", and took the lead in proposing the idea of metal construction and forming in the world. The technology takes a number of small-sized homogenized slabs as the base element, through surface activation, vacuum packaging, high temperature deformation and other means, so that the construction interface is completely consistent with the substrate, and then obtain the homogenized base material required for large forgings, to achieve a new type of manufacturing "small to large.
