On June 15, 2018, Bai Renwei, chairman of Liaoning Beixiang Heavy Industry Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Chen Wei, general manager, and Zhang Xin, deputy general manager, visited Academician Li Yiyi of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Li Yiyi, Female, native of Suzhou, Jiangsu, member of the Communist Party of China, metallurgical and metal materials scientist, was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1993. In 1999, he was elected as a member of the Third World Academy of Sciences. From 1990 to 1998, he was re-elected as director of the Institute of Metal Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences for two terms. She has long served as the deputy director of the Chinese Society of Metals, the vice chairman of the Chinese Society for Materials Research, the vice chairman, chairman, and honorary chairman of the Liaoning Association for Science and Technology, a member and standing member of the fourth and 5. sixth sessions of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences Deputy Director, member of the Presidium of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, representative of the 14th and 15th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. He is currently the honorary chairman of the China Association for Science and Technology and the Liaoning Provincial Association for Science and Technology, a member of the Standing Committee of the Chinese Society of Metals, a member of the International Society of Cryogenic Materials, the director of the Academic Committee of the Institute of Metals of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the chairman of the Academic Degree Committee of the Institute, and a member of the 973 Program Expert Advisory Group.
Academician Li Yiyi is the main academic leader in the field of low-temperature and nuclear structural materials in China. He has continuously presided over four five-year national scientific and technological research projects, completed five strength levels of hydrogen-resistant steel series, and is responsible for alloy composition design, heat treatment and phase identification, and put forward scientific ideas, technical routes and organization and implementation. Currently mainly engaged in special alloy preparation and large casting and forging process and computer simulation.
Academician Li Yiyi put forward the metal construction forming technology in the world aiming at the problems of macro segregation and central defect of large forgings. This technology breaks through the limitation of the idea of "making large forgings". After surface processing, cleaning treatment, stacking forming and vacuum packaging, homogenized slab is adopted, and the forging welding process characterized by multi-directional forging is applied at high temperature to fully heal the interface, to achieve the interface and the substrate completely consistent "no trace" connection. It provides a new way to effectively eliminate the internal looseness of nuclear power large forgings and improve the segregation and organization.
Chairman Bai Renwei gave a detailed introduction to the heat treatment, forging, physical and chemical technology of Beixiang Heavy Industry. Academician Li Yiyi affirmed Beixiang Heavy Industry Group's superb forging technology, spirit of overcoming difficulties and great achievements in research and development.
After friendly negotiation between the two sides, Academician Li Yiyi intends to transform and implement the achievements of metal construction and forming technology in Beixiang Heavy Industry. The two sides focus on nuclear power, hydrogenation reactor ring cylinders, low-temperature engineering shafts, die steel forgings, and jointly develop related processes and technologies. While meeting the strategic needs of the country, the two sides promote enterprises to achieve leapfrog development, lead the development of key manufacturing technologies for core components of high-end equipment, and set an example for the deep transformation and upgrading of domestic forging industry and product structure.
